Really that is a Dodger jersey? It looks to be like v-neck undershirt.....almost as if he woke up realized he was late for his big topps photo shoot.....'cripes I just want to sleep this hang over off'....i cant even find my dang hat.....then he hastily grabs one 2 sizes too small...
even on one of his infamous walks to first that thing would fly off as he sauntered to first.

Not quite sure how he made an allstar with a .248 ba in 1975....probably riding the coattails of his 1974 all star game and 5th in mvp voting.....must have tailed off at the end of 1975.
Suprisingly he stole 16 bases and got caught only 6 times.....probably saved up alot of energy with his walks to first.

Just looks like a genuinely nice guy. That's how I want to imagine him. Probably gave the jersey off his back to some young fan as he walked out of the dugway tunnel to his photo shoot...that why he is in his v-neck undershirt.

I was a big fan of Jimmy Wynn during the 1974 season. I though he had a cool name. I was never a fan of the airbrushed stuff. This one isn't that bad but you can clearly tell it's a Dodger Home Jersey he's wearing.

I think out of every major league player since 1960 I have the most empathy for Jimmy Wynn. Mainly becuase Jimmy was one of those people who was at the wrong place at the wrong time at the wrong position. And as a result he never received anywhere near the recognition he deserved. And who can't relate to that.

Jimmy played mostly in a pitcher's era mostly in one of the worst hitter's parks in baseball: The Astrome. Then he played in another pitcher's park: Dodger Stadium. He played Center field which is a tremendously underrated position.

All the Saber-metric stats say he belongs in the HOF but no one is listening. Who knows, maybe 20 years from now people will wise up and give him his due.

My guesses at the statistical anomaly:

"There have surely been other guys with a similarly small ratio of non-homer basehits to plate appearance, but I bet none of those other guys led their teams in on-base percentage, home runs, and RBIs"

Bonds, 2001
McGwire, 1998 and 1999
